News....

Mallory 31st May....

Not alot was special about this race meeting except I raced with a slight oil leak which was making me very nervous, I managed to get a tempory fix, which seemed to hold out and no one came off as a result..(I hope)

On to the results I managed to pickup some solid points and a couple (well four) trophies. See the results page on the main page for the postions (Day 1 R1:6th R2:2nd R3:2nd N:1st N:1st ) New Era work out race results and championship points results differently. The points are not based on pure class i.e. Open 400, SV, Hornets all four stroke machines are bundled in to one for the championship. So even though I recieved a throphies for 2nd in the Open 400 I only achieved 2x3rd's overall for points.

Current PREDICTED championship tables are:

Silverstone Yet More Trophies ....

trophies

It was an early start, to try and minimise expenditure (Donate?) it's about the only track we can travel to on the day.

I managed to stay on for all three races this time, which was novel..... Mixed weather day so it was a hard decision on tyres, changed wheels over in record time, which in the end was a bad call but hey ho...

On to the results again I managed to pickup some solid points and a couple of trophies. See the results page on the main page for the postions ( R1:1st R2:1st N:1st) New Era work out race results and championship points results differently, todate the championship points are not available yet...

Current PREDICTED championship standings are:

Club

ALLCOMERS 80-690: 4th
FORMULA JUNIOR: 1st <--- Woohoo!

Newcommers

ALLCOMERS 80-690: 1st
FORMULA JUNIOR:1st

Cadwell More Trophies ....

Basically it was a hard weekend at Cadwell and I tipped off twice... Once due to an over inflated front tyre and the second due to a racing incident.... 3 riders down 2 unhurt unfortunately 1 of the riders was concussed and broke an ankle and wrist... Get well soon fella.

On to the results I managed to pickup some solid points and a couple of trophies. See the results page on the main page for the postions (Day 1 R1:8th R2:4th R3:5th N:2nd N:1st , Day 2 R1:8th R2:DNF R3:2nd N:1st N:3rd ) New Era work out race results and championship points results differently.

So my current championship standings are:

Club

ALLCOMERS 80-690: 4th
FORMULA JUNIOR: 4th

Newcommers

ALLCOMERS 80-690: 1st
FORMULA JUNIOR:1st

Regs submitted....

My race regs have been submitted for both Cadwell (17th/18th April) and Silverstone (25th april)

My zxr400 is dead "tiddles"

Long live tiddles, the head gasket has gone but Rob at RJS Superbikes is confident it will be fixed in time.

New Era MCC Race Day 1 (Mallory Park)

Well after getting soaked in the rain in the test day and having a ball out on track with about 8 other guys at once it was time to put my race regs in....

Boy was I glad I did... New era is a nice friendly club, like most are to be honest. I have registered for the newcomers in the All comers and Open 400. I feel a bit of a cheat being in the newcomers as I have raced 8 times before and was almost ready to put in for my next level but I have only got 8 out of 10 sigs so I am a newcomer although close to getting my next level.

Anyway on to the racing it was a wicked day between the 4 friends we picked up 10 pots and "rider of the day". I personally picked up 2 trophies and the much loved "rider of the day" awards...

Results were :

All comers 4th (1st New comer)

Open 400 4th & 3rd ( 1st New comer over both races)

Happy days....

I'll write a proper report for cadwell.

New Era MCC Test Day

The idea was to shake down the bike and not really go racing on the sunday, well it hammered it down, I loved it, this bike in the wet is a whole lot of fun....
